IBPS PO Bank Exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection which is a great option to get bank jobs. IBPS offers its services to all Public-Sector Banks, SBI, Associate Banks of SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, LIC & Insurance companies and other Banks which are regular members of the IBPS society.

A Personnel Selection Services (PPS) was set up by Government of India in 1975 for recruitment of probationary officers and clerks to all public-sector banks. PSS was later changed to the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in 1984as per the permission of Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
IBPS started the Common Written Examination (CWE) in the year 2011 for recruiting officers and clerks in Indian Bank and accepts online application through its official website. The IBPS CWE was previously called as the IBPS Bank PO exam which takes place every year since then. The IBPS CWE 2019 is for selecting the candidates to the 27 public sector banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Throughout India, this exam is conducted and takes place in online mode only. There are two parts that is one is a preliminary exam and other the final one.
How to Apply IBPS PO 2019

IBPS PO Exam Centre
The IBPS PO exam (CWE) takes place online at a number of centers all over India and the candidate can mention their preferences when they are filling the online application. IBPS PO Recruitment 2019
Every year through a Common Written Examination (CWE), commonly known as the IBPS PO exam the recruitments of people for the post of Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) is done. The CWE started its journey in 2011 and hence it is officially called IBPS PO /MT CWE. The IBPS PO selection process comprises of 3 phases (preliminary, mains and interview) and the candidate must be eligible for each of them to move further to the next phase. Candidates must succeed the sectional as well as the overall cutoff in the main exam to process for the interview stage.
The interview will be conducted by the Participating Organizations and matched by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS
The Final result will be told on the basis of candidates combined presentation in IBPS PO Mains and Interview Rounds.
The provisional allotment of the capable candidate will be there on the official website. The IBPS Banks are chosen based on candidates’ preferences which are made at the time of online application.
In the selection process, IBPS plays its part only till the conditional allotment to different banks. After that, the accountability to close the qualified candidates about their joining dates and procedure is in the hand of the respective banks.
IBPS PO Exam Pattern
The new pattern for the IBPS has been released. Now IBPS has introduced separate sectional timing for each section in preliminary exam. The IBPS PO exam (CWE 8) for hiring candidates will be done on the basis of an online written exam in two parts: Tier 1 or IBPS Preliminary Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Mains Exam. After the examination, there will be a face-to-face interview process.
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern
The preliminary examination for the same has a total duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes for each section, which will take place in online mode. It comprises of 3 sections with a total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 100 marks. In the IBPS PO exam, there is a negative marking aspect. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern
The IBPO PO Main exam takes place through online mode, it has 5(4+1) sections with a total score of 200+25 marks and total duration of 180+30 minutes. Just like IBPS PO 2017, IBPS will be having a descriptive paper in its mains exam for selecting the candidates to the post of Probationary officer. All the sections should attempted in the same sequence and the allotted time as instructed at the time of the exam. Both preliminary and mains examination are to be cleared by the candidate to be eligible for the interview process.

IBPS PO Interview
There is a face to face interview for the candidates who have qualified the mains exam which carries a maximum of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
The interview round is usually 15-20 minutes long, where a panel of bank officials are there who ask questions to the candidates about themselves, banking sector, current affairs, general awareness, etc. It is mandatory for the candidate to be well dressed, confident and carry all required documents to the interview for the final selection.
On the basis of marks obtained in mains examination and interview, the final merit list is prepared. The final score is calculated by IBPS in which eight percent weightage is given to the main exam and twenty percent to the interview.
